Noelia Voight resigns as Miss USA 2023

In an Instagram post, Noelia Voight announced that she is stepping down as Miss USA. Her post was captioned: “Make sure you never compromise your physical and mental well-being.” Noelia Voight represented the state of Utah and became the first-ever Venezuelan-American woman to win the Miss USA title. She competed at Miss Universe 2023, where she finished as one of the Top 20. She was set to crown the new Miss USA in August. Her full statement on Instagram reads:

In life, I strongly value the importance of making decisions that are best for you and your mental health. As individuals, we grow by experiencing different things in life that lead us to learn more about ourselves. My journey as Miss USA has been incredibly meaningful, proudly representing Utah and later the USA at Miss Universe. Unfortunately, I have made the very difficult decision to resign from the title of Miss USA 2023. I am grateful for the love and support of the fans, old and new, my family, my friends, my coaches, former state and local directors, and my dear, beloved Miss Teen USA, UmaSofia. Lifelong friendships and connections that I was able to build along the way while attending various events and competing in state pageants, Miss USA and Miss Universe are priceless things that I will forever be grateful for. Every time someone asked me what my favorite part was about being Miss USA, I always shared how much I loved working with Smile Train, being a fierce advocate for anti-bullying, dating violence awareness and prevention, immigration rights and reforms, and shedding light on my roots as the first Venezuelan-American woman to win Miss USA. I could never have imagined the journey my childhood dream would take me. Constant and consistent hard work and dedication have all brought me to where I am today, and I hope that these past seven years of competing in pageantry and sharing my journey with you all is something that inspires you to never give up on your dreams , whatever. they could be. Eternal gratitude fills my heart when I think of the platform I was given to make a difference, the feeling of achieving a lifelong dream and connecting with people around the world, just like I said I would on the Miss USA stage. Deep down, I know this is just the beginning of a new chapter for me, and I hope I continue to inspire others to stay steadfast, prioritize your mental health, stand up for yourself and others through your voice to use, and never be afraid. of what the future brings, even if it feels uncertain. How I wish I could hug you all. I love you all with all my heart and always will. Peace and love, always.
