Mavericks vs Thunder Preview, Start Time, TV Schedule and Injury Report

The Dallas Mavericks head north on Tuesday night to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder, kicking off their second round of the NBA Playoffs. Dallas defeated the Los Angeles Clippers a few days ago and won that series 4-2. The Thunder, meanwhile, have had more than a week to plan their game and think about their upcoming opponent after smothering the New Orleans Pelicans in a 4-0 sweep. Let’s get to the most important things:

  • WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Oklahoma City Thunder
  • WHAT: Playoffs? Are you joking?!
  • WHERE: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • WHEN: 8:30 PM CST
  • HOW: TNT or Max (formerly HBO Max)

The Mavericks have the injury report you would expect. Maxi Kleber is out due to his shoulder injury, suffered in the sixth game against the Clippers. Olivier Maxence Prosper is also still out with his ankle injury. Luka Doncic is now on the injury report with his sprained knee, but he is listed as probable. There were no Thunder injuries listed in the report.

We’ve had some preview work on this series. After the game preview and betting post, there’s a longer look at positional matchups that’s a pretty good introduction to the series. There’s also a very good argument that Dereck Lively is the key to the series. Josh and I also did a recording last night about what we expect from the series

I don’t know if the Mavericks will win this series. But I would REALLY like them to win game one. During head coach Jason Kidd’s tenure, they are 0-4 in games. They have also won the most series they have played! That’s impressive! I just want them to win game one, surprise me, change the series.

We’ll be back after the match with the usual stuff. Thanks so much for hanging out. Go Mavs!
