States support EPA action to eliminate West Virginia’s Ozone Air Plan

New York, Connecticut, Washington, D.C. and a coalition of other supporters told the justices Monday that the EPA was right to reject a West Virginia air plan to make way for stricter ozone air quality measures.

Eight states, three U.S. municipalities and environmental groups filed a letter of support with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, urging the panel to dismiss West Virginia’s petition to make part of the government’s “Good Neighbor” plan to destroy, to reject, the Environmental Protection Agency.
