Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) is proud to announce a significant improvement in service at EWN. In response to growing demand for air travel in the region, American Airlines is increasing the number of daily flights connecting travelers through Charlotte to destinations of their choice around the world.

This expansion demonstrates American’s commitment to providing convenient and reliable air transportation options for travelers in Eastern North Carolina and underscores the airline’s commitment to supporting the area’s economic vitality.

“We are pleased to announce the increased frequency of American Airlines flights at EWN. This expansion underlines the growing appeal of our airport and underlines our commitment to offering our passengers better travel options. We look forward to continuing to foster strong partnerships with the airlines and meet the evolving needs of our community.” said airport director Andrew Shorter.

“American is pleased to welcome customers to our six daily flights to Charlotte Douglas International Airport,” said Joe Sottile, director of Shorthaul Network Planning for American Airlines. “This summer, EWN’s largest airline will provide local residents with convenient one-stop connections to more than 170 destinations across our extensive global network.”

Flights are already available to book and early booking is strongly encouraged as the busy summer season continues.

“As residents continue to choose EWN for their travel, American Airlines sees that as a good indicator of demand in the community. The strong performance of the flights shows that the community wants to fly local,” Shorter said.
