The Hurricanes are continuing the “fight to keep New York fans out of arenas” by limiting ticket sales for Games 3 and 4 of their second-round series against the Rangers, according to NEWSDAY’s Neil Best. Fans who tried to purchase seats for these games on the Ticketmaster site on Thursday were met with this warning: “PNC Arena is located in Raleigh, NC. Sales for this event are limited to residents of North Carolina, South Carolina and southern parts of Virginia. Residency will be based on credit card billing address.” Best noted that the Hurricanes “did the same thing two years ago” when they faced the Rangers in the second round (NEWSDAY, 5/2).
