Speaker Announcement: Governor Doug Burgum will speak at the 2024 NCGOP Convention!

GROENSBORO — Today, the Republican Party of North Carolina (NCGOP) is pleased to announce that North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum will keynote the 2024 Old North State Dinner at the NCGOP Convention in Greensboro on Saturday, May 25!

“We are thrilled to have Governor Doug Burgum speak at this year’s NCGOP Convention,” said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons. “Governor Burgum has a tremendous record of business success and has served his state in two terms. He is a leader in advocating for a stronger economy, abundant energy and for our national security.”

Under Doug’s leadership, North Dakota is a leader in innovation, driving a boom in the state’s energy, agriculture and technology sectors. In Burgum’s first year as governor, he inherited a $1.7 billion budget deficit. Doug balanced the budget by making cuts. He helped pass the deadlines and passed the largest tax cut in North Dakota history. It’s no wonder Forbes named Doug the nation’s “Best Entrepreneurial Governor.”
