Burglaries in NJ target Lakewood, Toms River – NBC New York

A serial burglar who allegedly committed 15 burglaries in two New Jersey communities in one week has been apprehended, authorities said Tuesday.

Christopher Green was arrested last week, the result of a multi-agency effort. He was wanted in more than 15 burglaries in Lakewood and Toms River between March 30 and April 6, police said.

In at least one case he is said to have had a gun with him.

Search warrants executed on homes and motor vehicles associated with Green turned up four firearms, including an AR15 and a sub pistol, police said. They also confiscated the proceeds from a number of burglaries.

Green now faces a total of 17 criminal charges, including robbery, armed burglary, conspiracy and multiple gun-related crimes. Information about a possible attorney for him was not immediately available.
