Highland Clarksburg Hospital Inc. will open on Monday, May 6. (HCHI) a 20-bed voluntary behavioral hospital unit.

HCHI, a subsidiary of Mon Health System, is a private, nonprofit behavioral health hospital in Clarksburg, West Virginia that provides acute, comprehensive psychiatric and substance abuse services to patients in North Central West Virginia and surrounding areas.

The new voluntary inpatient behavioral health unit is an adult unit that provides services to patients ages 18 to 64. This unit will initially focus on recovery from mental illness, including bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and more. In this setting, patients will have access to group and individualized therapy services, as well as medical services to treat mental and behavioral health diagnoses.

Patients receive personalized treatment plans within a treatment team, as well as therapy on and off the ward in group, individualized and family settings. Quitting smoking is also possible during the patented treatment.
